Review & Giveaway: Holiday Snowflake Fling Bins

I was very excited to do another review and giveaway of Fling Bins – this time with a holiday theme!  I’m sure most of you host a Christmas gathering or family dinner, and are faced with the unending stream of trash that seems to result!  I always worry about concealing our trash can in an inconspicuous place that is also accessible to our guests – and, I love the Snowflake Fling Bins that store trash while looking chic.  Or you might be wondering how you can quickly clean up all the torn wrapping paper from opening presents on Christmas Day – Fling Bins would be the perfect solution!  Every Fling Bin is a 13 gallon tall kitchen size and leak proof (you don’t have to worry about it breaking on your way up your driveway!).  And, you can always set up two – one for trash and another for recyclables, an inexpensive and effortless way to participate in conserving our natural resources.

And, right now, Fling Bins is offering a terrific holiday promotion!  When you purchase any Trash or Recycling Bins for yourself, they will also send 2 free Holiday bins (of your choice) to your friend.  What a great hostess gift idea!

Flings Bins is very generous to offer two of my readers a set of two Snowflake Fling Bins.  To enter this giveaway, you must be a public follower of my blog and let me know what design you like the best (aside from the one I mentioned above).

For extra entries:

1) “Like” Flings Bins on Facebook and write on their wall, telling them that Capitally Frugal sent you and which design you like best!  (Leave your Facebook name, please!)
2) Tweet about this giveaway.  (Please leave a link to your tweet – you may do this daily.)
3) Blog about this giveaway.  (Please leave a link to your post.)
4) Post my Holiday Bash Button on your blog.  (Please leave a link.)

This giveaway will end December 5th at midnight, and I will choose the winner by Random.org.  This contest is also open to residents of the U.S. only.  Once I pick the winners, they will have 48 hours to respond – I will forward their information to Flings Bins, who will send them their prizes.

Disclosure: I received a Flings Bin to facilitate my review, and two sets of Flings Bins to give to my readers.  This did not influence my review in any way.

Bloom Deals (11/26-11/30)

I guess, the good Lord knew that my husband needed a break from doing the Bloom deals this week (he was praying very hard!). :)  The Bloom website says that they do not have a circular, and to check back on the 30th for new weekly specials.  Instead they have a copy of their new holiday magazine, Flourish – it looks like it has some terrific recipes and cooking tips.  Be sure to check your store for a complimentary copy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope all of you have a wonderful day thanking the Lord for his bountiful blessings!  In the midst of the pumpkin pies, heaping bowlfuls of turkey, mashed potatoes, and whatever delicious foods will be on your table this year, I hope you will take a few minutes to remember all the reasons you have to be thankful.  As I go over my “gratitude” list, I realized how much I take for granted – good health, a working car, a roof over my head, heat during the winter, the list goes on for miles.  But, most of all, I’m thankful for a God who sent His Son to die for my sins and abundantly blesses our family!  I hope you all have a special day – I appreciate all of my blog readers and pray that the Lord continues to provide for your every need!

Just a Note About Bloom Deals

Bloom has not released new deals for the week – their last circular is good through Thanksgiving!  You can view our previous match up here.  My kind husband will try to put up next week’s deals on Saturday – but, since he has a 15 hour trip on Friday, it might be a little incoherent! :)

Book Review & Giveaway: "Back on Murder"

“Back on Murder,” by J. Mark Bertrand, is the story of a policeman’s struggle to earn back his unit’s respect and his once stellar record.  Roland March, the middle-aged Houston homicide detective who has had his share of problems, has cut God out of his life and has very few friends.  But, none of this bothers him, as his desire to be a star detective consumes him.  He finally gets his break, when the head of police gives him the opportunity to investigate a gang shooting.  His instincts help him connect a missing girl to the shooting, that ends up blowing open a huge case against his very own police department.  In the process, he’s assigned a Christian partner who gently nudges him toward the Lord, and encourages him to face the nightmares of his past.

I found “Back on Murder” very intriguing and a hard book to set down!  It combines the Gospel message, mystery, and a very touching storyline.  For those of you who have a family member or friend who is struggling with the question of “how a loving God could allow horrible things to happen?”, this might be the perfect gift for them!  You can find Back on Murder (A Roland March Mystery)on Amazon for $10.19.

I also have one book to giveaway to one of my lucky readers.  To enter, you must be a public blog follower and let me know your favorite book!  This giveaway is open to readers in the US and will close at 11:59 on November 30th.  I will pick the winner by Random org.
