Cow Appreciation Day

Next week Friday, July 13th, Chick-fil-A will be hosting their annual Cow Appreciation Day celebration!  Customers dressed “head to hoof” in cow attire will be rewarded with a free Chick-fil-A Meal, which includes an entrée of choice, a side item and a Diet Dr Pepper® (or other beverage choice). For those “too chicken” to wear full cow costumes, Chick-fil-A will award a complimentary entrée to customers partially dressed in cow attire, such as a cow-spotted scarf, purse, hat or other accessory.  Customers can visit any Chick-fil-A restaurant nationwide for breakfast, lunch or dinner to participate in the celebration.

In 2011, nearly 600,000 people participated in this festive event, and they are expecting an even bigger turnout this year. For more information, please visit their Cow Appreciation website.   They offer a printable starter kit, so you can get started on your spots, cow ears, and tail – if you’re stuck inside due to the oppressive heat, making cow costumes with your children from t-shirts and printable cow parts might distract all of you from your plight! :)

For those of you with iPhones, don’t forget to download the Chick-fil-A app!  On July 13th, you’ll be able to take photos and enter their cow costume contest directly from your phone with the app, giving you a chance to win a $100 Chick-fil-Agift card, a catered Chick-fil-A party or other prizes. They will be awarding winners across three categories: COW: 1 person; 13 or older; CALF/CALVES: 1 or more kids; 12 or younger; and HERD: 2 or more people; 1 must be 13 or older.  Stay tuned to the Chick-fil-A Facebook page for more updates on Cow Appreciation Day!

For those of you in Northern Virginia, Chick-fil-A at Fair Oaks Mall is offering different freebies throughout this week!  Today (July 5th), head there from 3-6pm for a FREE Fudge Brownie! “Like” them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter to learn the daily freebie!
