Wegmans Deals {7/15 – 7/21}

Welcome to all the Frugally Blonde readers!  I’m very sad that my fellow Leesburg blogger, Liz, will no longer be writing at Frugally Blonde.  When I first began couponing, Frugally Blonde and Money Saving Mom were the first deal blogs that I read; and, when I delved into blogging, Liz was the first blogger to highlight my Bloom posts. I will definitely miss Liz’s wealth of money saving wisdom ; but I comfort myself with knowing that she’ll be transferring her penny-pinching mojo to her new blog, Catholic Deals!  If you have a chance, head over to her blog and thank her for her faithful blogging all these years!

I’m so excited about running the Wegmans deals on Capitally Frugal – I’ve felt a little lost ever since our Bloom stores closed and was thrilled when Liz contacted me about compiling them!  Over the next month, my goal is to transition all the DC Metro Area Store Deals to a separate page of my blog, so you won’t have to read through all the store deals if you’re not interested in them.  But, while I work on that, I’ll be putting up the Wegmans & Costco deals on Capitally Frugal’s homepage.

For those of you who want to familiarize yourself with Wegmans coupon policy, click here.  They gladly accept both Manufacturer’s and Wegmans store coupons.  And, they double manufacturers’ coupons with a face value of $.99 or less with some exceptions and limitations.  Don’t forget to print the two current Wegmans e-coupons: $1.00 off $4.99+ Vermont Butter & Cheese Company and $1.00 off Oscarware 12×16 inch Grill Grid.

In the summer and early fall, local growers bring their just-picked corn directly to a nearby Wegmans store every day.  This weekend (Friday, July 20th, from 4-8PM; Saturday, July 21st, from 11:00 AM – 5:00PM; and Sunday, July 22nd, from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM), head to your local Wegmans for their Local Corn Harvest Event and get a taste the flavors of summer. At each tasting station, you can learn about best ways to prepare and enjoy this unrivalled summertime treat, from corn-on-the-cob grilled and drizzled with a chef-made finishing butter, to simple dinners like Corn Skillet Bread with Chipotle Corn, Chicken & Black Bean Soup.  This event is free!
