This giveaway has ended! Congratulations to our winner, Deb!
Starting this Saturday, October 6th, the National Geographic Museum in Washington, DC will be showing a 3-D movie: Sea Monsters 3D: A Prehistoric Adventure. This movie will bring to life the extraordinary marine reptiles of the dinosaur age, when the American Midwest lay under a great inland sea where colossal creatures ruled the waves. From giraffe-necked Styxosaurus and sea birds with teeth to the T. rex of the ocean—the 40-foot super-predator Tylosaurus—these wondrous beasts defy imagination. In a remarkable journey, National Geographic Museum immerses audiences in this unexplored world of the “other dinosaurs,” delivering the creatures brought to life on the big screen in 3-D.
Showtimes
Sea Monsters 3-D will play on Sundays and select Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Click here for the full listing of dates and times.
Price
Surprisingly, the cost is minimal, especially compared to the going price of movies these days! To see the 3-D Movie, admission is $5. If you’d like to see the 3-D Movie plus have admission to the Museum, the price will be $10.
For those of you who have never visited the National Geographic Museum, they offer a wide variety of changing exhibits. Right now, you can see exhibits ranging in topic from “Wicked Weather” to “The Next Generation of Photojournalists.” And, coming in October, you’ll find different events, such as a lecture from legendary climber, Peter Athans about the “Sky Caves of Nepal” and a collection of pictures from Chris Ranier that illuminates “Cultures on the Edge.”
