This Saturday, October 6, 2012, between Noon and 4:00 PM, the National Children’s Museum will host its fifth annual outdoor jump-roping festival at National Harbor in Prince George’s County, Maryland. JumpOFF! will take place, just steps away from the National Children’s Museum’s new indoor space (American Way, between St. George Blvd. and Fleet St., National Harbor, MD 20745) which is set to open to the public on December 14th. And, the best part? It’s free for the whole family! What a great way to spend the weekend!
The block party-style JumpOFF!, which is serving as a satellite partner of Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play, will feature:
· Performances by world-renowned youth precision jump-roping teams, including the Greenbelt SITY Stars, Kangaroo Kids, Youth Sports Jump FX and Hoppin’ Hawks
· “Make your own jump rope” activities
· Special appearances by the Washington Wizards/Washington Mystics street team, Popped! Republic food truck, Chidogo’s and other community partners
· Live music by Bach 2 Rock
