This giveaway has ended.  Congratulations to our winner, Jennifer!  Thanks to all who entered!

Over the weekend of February 15 – 17, the LEGO KidsFest national tour stops at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, bringing all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in this three acre activity and entertainment-packed family event for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests.

There will be lots of hands-on educational fun for all ages – here are some of my favorite attractions that will cover over 150,000 square feet of space:

LEGO Model Museum
Walk among miniature and life-size models, built entirely of LEGO bricks. Be sure to bring your camera — plenty of cool photo opportunities abound!

LEGO Activity Area
The LEGO Activity Area is proud to present Master Builders, games, trivia and contests for all to enjoy. Audience participation is a must — the LEGO Activity Area is LEGO fun for the entire family. Don’t just enjoy the show — be part of it!

LEGO Challenge Zone
The LEGO Challenge Zone is more LEGO fun for the entire family. Families can compete together in speed tower builds and other cool activities. Quick – flex your fingers and find your inner builder!

Big Brick Pile
Mix children’s imagination with a big pile of brick — more loose brick than you’ve seen anywhere else — and you’ll be amazed by the results.

DUPLO Build Area
Younger children can explore their imagination and build their motor skills with LEGO DUPLO bricks. Designed for smaller hands, these sturdy toddler building blocks easily fit together to encourage free-form building, stacking and sorting for tons of fun. The DUPLO area also includes Disney Princess brick.

LEGO Construction Zone
Inspiring creativity is easy in the LEGO Construction Zone for children age five and up. Play tables are set up for kids to build whatever their imaginations can create. When finished building, you can put your creation on display for all to see!

Race Ramps
Build and rebuild LEGO race cars at one of the build tables, then test its performance against your fellow builders on one of the popular race ramps. May the fastest creation win! On your mark, get set… LEGO!

LEGO Games
Give LEGO Games a go – the world’s first collection of games that you build, play and change. With the unique buildable LEGO dice and changeable rules, LEGO Games is a great way of having fun together with family and friends. Come play!

Life of George
Life of George is an exciting building game combining LEGO brick building with your mobile smart device in single and multi-player games, quizzes and more. Build, scan and score your way around the world with LEGO Life of George!  Stop by and go head-to-head against your friends or family in an exciting multi-player build-off as you compete for the highest score. An hour before each session closes; the kid with the highest score will win a free Life of George set!

Based on sell-out attendance in previous markets, advance ticket purchase is strongly encouraged.  Five sessions – all identical – are available for the Richmond, Virginia, February 15 – 17 tour stop.

LEGO KidsFest tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for children (ages 3-17).  Toddlers who are 2 and under are free!  You can purchase your tickets online, and Washington Family Magazine has provided a discount code for all of you to make it a little more affordable!  Just use WFM13 (through February 1st) to get $2 off each ticket you purchase.  {Please note, pending availability, all tickets will be sold online up until the start time of each session. Once a session begins, tickets will be available only at the box office. Based on past experience, they highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance to avoid long lines and sellouts.}
