I’m so excited that Kings Dominion is unveiling a new ride this year: the much anticipated Twisted Timbers. This new steel and wood roller coaster sits at the edge of Candy Apple Grove and plummets riders down a 109-foot-tall barrel roll drop that sends them twisting across 3,361 feet of track with two more inversions and 20 airtime hills at speeds of 54 miles per hour. The thrill seekers in my family loved the bumpiness of Rebel Yell (now called Racer 75), the only totally wooden coaster at Kings Dominion, so I’m sure they will be lining up to try out Twisted Timbers.
