White House Spring Garden Tours

Cost: This event is free and open to the public; however, a ticket is required for all attendees (including small children).  The National Park Service will distribute free, timed tickets at the Ellipse Visitor Pavilion located at 15th and E Streets on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 8:00 AM.  Tickets will be distributed — one ticket per person — on a first-come, first-served basis.
Description: This spring, the White House will be opening its gardens and grounds to visitors on Saturday, April 13th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday, April 14th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  During this event, visitors can see the Jacqueline Kennedy Garden, Rose Garden and South Lawn of the White House.  Additionally, the White House Kitchen Garden – the first vegetable garden at the White House since Eleanor Roosevelt’s Victory Garden – will be accessible to guests.

Sugarloaf Crafts Festival – January 25, 26, & 27
The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival will be held at the Dulles Expo Center on Friday (1/25) & Saturday (1/26) from 10 AM – 6PM and Sunday from 10AM – 5PM.  Children ages 12 and under are free, and adults are $10 (at the door) or $8 (if you purchase your ticket online).  You’ll find more than 250 top artisans displaying and selling their unique creations in pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, home décor, furniture and home accessories, items for the garden, and photography.  It will also features interactive demonstrations with master craftspeople, live music, children’s entertainment, and specialty foods.

NatFest2013
NatsFest 2013 will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center on Saturday, January 26th from Noon – 4 PM Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. for season ticket holders and at noon for general admission. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Season ticket holder prices are $15 for adults and $5 for children. Children tickets are valid for ages 3-12. Children 2 and under will not require a ticket for admission.  Fan activities will include player autographs (pre-purchased voucher required), player and mascot photographs, face painting, balloon art, Nationals merchandise, interactive games, live batting cages, and much more.  To see all the Nationals players who are scheduled to appear, click here.

From November 1 through the second week in March (weather permitting) the Pavilion floor at Reston Town Center is transformed into a gleaming ice skating rink. Ice skates and other supplies are available inside the Skate Shop directly beside the Pavilion (behind Clyde’s).  Admission costs: Adults are $9.00 and Children Under 12 are $7.00And, every Saturday, between 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, share the ice  with Scooby-Doo, Tweety Bird, Cat in the Hat and more.
