Thank you so much for visiting Capitally Frugal! Not sure where to start?
Here are some of the highlights that you don’t want to miss:
DC Metro Area Store Deals
Check our right side bar for our weekly store/coupon matchups! Some of the stores you’ll find are Wegmans, Costco, Shoppers, and Safeway. And, each month, we run a special list of matchups for Harris Teeter Super Doubles (when they double coupons with a face value up to $2.00). Our matchups are unique, because we use the coupon inserts and store prices of the Northern Virginia area, so DC Metro readers will know what they will be paying before they head to the store. It’s so much easier to plan a shopping trip!
Freebies & Steals: The Weekend Edition
Every Friday, we publish a list of restaurant freebies and DC-area frugal family entertainment. If you’re visiting the area or call DC home, it’s a great way to explore the area with a pinch of frugality!
Reviews & Giveaways
To express my gratitude for my readers, I frequently run giveaways (to go along with my product reviews). I receive hundreds of pitches, but I try to sort through them to find things I think you would enjoy. Some of our favorite reader giveaways were the $100 VISA card from Seamless, gift cards to Firehouse Subs, and children’s DVDs.
This is one feature that I’m trying hard to maintain! Many companies/stores email me, asking Capitally Frugal to promote their events. For those events that I think will interest my DC readers, I put them up on our local calendar.
Each week, I find a few restaurant/store freebies that I think will interest my readers. I generally try to find ones that haven’t already gone viral among the blogosphere. 🙂 And, while all of them work in the DC area, most of them can be found throughout the US as well.
